Young people’s supported accommodation

Set up a service with a clear support model, suitable accommodation and arrangements that help young people move towards independence.

Before you start

Be clear about who the service is for.

We work through age, placement status, support needs and whether the proposed provision is support or care. That distinction affects registration, staffing, safeguarding and which referrals the service can accept.

What we help you prepare

  • Define eligibility, support levels and accommodation arrangements.
  • Prepare the statement of purpose and service documents.
  • Plan safeguarding, missing-person responses, staffing and management oversight.
  • Prepare the application, leadership interviews and opening checks.

For existing providers

Support after opening.

We help with inspection preparation, placement suitability, support records, commissioner monitoring and expansion into additional accommodation. A move into adult services needs a separate review of the model.

Where will you operate?
